NAKED ROBIN: STATEMENT EYES EDITION
If you’re after bold eyeshadow looks, how do you get started? It can be difficult to know which shades to use and where to use them but getting your dream statement makeup look is easier than you might think. For the best statement eye makeup looks, read on, and follow our steps.
Prime Eyes
Before you begin, prime your eyes with our Eyeshadow Primer Potion, which helps keep your eyeshadow crease-free. Crease: build up colour
Use our Naked X Robin Eisenberg eyeshadow palette to start building the structure of your eyeshadow. For the crease, you might want to use a matte neutral shade like Moon Sand or Mango Sun – apply the long-lasting colour with a brush through the crease, beginning with the highest point of the outside corner and working it backwards and forwards.
Then, blend the edges with circular motions to ensure there aren’t any harsh edges. Once you’re finished, it’s time to add some depth.
Crease: Add Depth
When adding depth, you’ll want to use a shade that’s darker than the one you started with – and the darker the colour, the more intense your statement eye makeup look will be. Using the Naked X Robin Eisenberg palette, shades that could be a good fit include Foxfire and Solar Storm.
No matter the colour you choose, apply it with backwards and forwards motions, running the colour along the outer third of the lash line. Then, keeping the same brush, use small circular motions to blend out the edges and connect the new shade to the original colour. They should meet, but the darker colour should stay lower than the first colour.
Lid
For your eyelids, consider using a shimmer, like Ice Crater or Alien Babe, or Ion for a gold eyeshadow look. Using a brush, start in the centre of the eye and press and move slightly to apply the shade from the inner corner of the eye to the darker colour in the crease.
While these shades should overlap, be careful not to cover up the darker colour entirely – this is what creates the light to dark fade.
Highlighter
