To celebrate International Women’s Day 2017 and The Ultraviolet Edge, we wanted to do something show stopping—something that would get people talking about women’s empowerment and its importance. Something that would inspire women to feel empowered and inspire men to support women feeling that way. To accomplish this, we turned to art and the streets of Williamsburg in New York City.
We teamed up with brilliant artist Stefania Tejada, Colossal Media and Tumblr to create a visually stunning and inspiring mural that spans the brick wall on the corner of Wythe Avenue and N. 10th St. The main message written in the painting? “Women rise together”—a mantra we fully believe in and support. This cool artwork aims to inspire passersby to keep the necessary conversations about women’s empowerment going. And we hope you’ll continue the conversations too.
